Mostly small and medium-sized organisations across Scotland, typically with 10 to 500 staff. We specialise in four sectors: construction (more than 15 clients, including Kilmac), renewable energy (more than 10 clients, including Greenversity), leisure and entertainment (including SWG3, Falkirk Football Club and Wonderworld Group) and charities (more than 30, including Erskine). We're also the official mobile supplier to Celtic Football Club. Who we work with →
Is Indigo accredited?
Yes. Indigo holds Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001:2022 for information security and ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. We're a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work, a Kaseya Platinum Partner and a leading plan.com partner in Scotland, and we hold the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme Gold award. Certificate numbers and expiry dates are on our accreditations page.
Do you provide IT support outside Glasgow?
Yes. Most support is delivered remotely, so location doesn't affect how quickly we respond. Our engineers visit offices, sites and venues across Scotland when hands-on work is needed, from our offices in Glasgow and Livingston. Areas we cover →
IT support
What is managed IT support?
Managed IT support means a provider looks after your IT for a fixed monthly fee instead of charging each time something breaks. At Indigo that covers the helpdesk, monitoring and updates, protection against viruses and ransomware, email security, Microsoft 365 management, backup and regular technology reviews. Because we're paid to keep systems working, preventing problems is in our interest. Managed IT support →
How much does managed IT support cost?
Our four packages are priced per user per month, excluding VAT: from £25 for Silver, £35 for Gold, £45 for Platinum and £27.50 for Charity. The exact price depends on the package, your number of users and devices, and the security and hours you need. A free technology assessment gives you a fixed monthly quote before you commit. Compare the packages →
How quickly do you respond to support tickets?
Every ticket gets a first response in under 30 minutes. In September 2026 our service desk handled 1,854 tickets, with an average first response of 13 minutes, and resolved 65% of them within two hours. Getting support →
What are your helpdesk hours?
09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, or 08:30 to 17:30 on our Platinum package. Outside those hours, Gold, Platinum and Charity clients have 24/7 monitoring of their systems, and Platinum and Charity clients have a dedicated security team watching for threats around the clock (a security operations centre).
Can you take over from our current IT provider?
Yes. We collect passwords and documentation, deal with your old provider directly and deploy our monitoring and security tools. Most businesses are fully onboarded in about two weeks, and your staff can use our helpdesk from the first day. If you're still in contract, we can usually cover the overlap so you don't pay twice. How switching works →
Cyber security and Cyber Essentials
What's the difference between antivirus and EDR?
Traditional antivirus looks for known threats. Endpoint detection and response (EDR) also watches how programs behave, so it can spot and stop new or disguised attacks such as ransomware, and it records what happened for investigation. Indigo installs EDR (Kaseya 365 Endpoint) on every managed device. Cyber security →
What is a security operations centre (SOC)?
A SOC is a team of security analysts who watch your systems for signs of attack 24 hours a day and act when something suspicious happens, for example by isolating an infected laptop. Most small and medium businesses can't staff one themselves. Indigo's Platinum and Charity packages include a 24/7 SOC, provided through RocketCyber.
Does Indigo issue Cyber Essentials certificates?
No. We prepare you, fix anything that would fail and complete the self-assessment answers with you, and your director reviews and approves them. Our certification partner, Citation, assesses the answers, issues the certificate and carries out the Cyber Essentials Plus audit. Cyber Essentials, done for you →
How long does it take to get Cyber Essentials?
From our free readiness check to the certificate usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on how much needs fixing first. Cyber Essentials Plus must follow within three months of the basic certificate. Take the free readiness check →
Can we get Cyber Essentials help without switching IT provider?
Yes. Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus support is available as a standalone service, and we can work alongside your current IT provider. It's also included in our Platinum package.
Connectivity and WiFi
What's the difference between business broadband and a leased line?
Business broadband, including full fibre, is shared with other users in your area and is usually faster to download than upload. A leased line is a dedicated connection for your business only, with the same upload and download speeds and a guaranteed fix time (5 hours on fibre Ethernet). With Indigo, full fibre costs £32 to £50 a month and leased lines start from £200 a month, excluding VAT. Business connectivity →
How quickly can you get a construction site or temporary office online?
Usually within 2 to 3 working days, using a managed 4G or 5G router. If the project is long enough we add a fixed line and keep the 4G/5G router as automatic backup, and we use satellite where mobile coverage is poor. Construction site internet →
Why is our office WiFi slow when the internet is fast?
Usually it's the WiFi, not the internet line: too few access points, poor placement, interference or too many devices on one network. A WiFi survey measures coverage and congestion across the building and shows where and why performance drops. We design and install Ubiquiti UniFi networks with separate staff, guest and payment networks. Business WiFi →
Phone systems and business mobiles
What is the PSTN switch-off?
Openreach is closing the UK's traditional copper phone network (PSTN) on 31 January 2027. Any business still using analogue lines or ISDN, including for phones, alarms, lift lines or card machines, needs to move to a digital service before then. Take the 2-minute switch-off check →
Which phone systems do you supply?
We install and support cloud phone systems on 8x8, 3CX and Microsoft Teams Phone, and recommend the one that fits how you work. A fully hosted line starts at about £10 per user per month for a single handset. For larger teams, a system connected to SIP trunks is often cheaper, so we price both options for you. Hosted telephony →
Can we keep our phone and mobile numbers?
Yes. In almost all cases your existing numbers can be ported to the new service. We install and test new phones alongside your old ones first, then schedule the port so calls aren't interrupted. How number porting works →
Which mobile networks do you supply?
EE, O2 and Vodafone. We're independent, so we check coverage where your people actually work before recommending a network, and we can mix networks on one account. We're a leading plan.com partner in Scotland and have been the official mobile supplier to Celtic Football Club since March 2022. Business mobiles →
How much could we save on business mobiles?
Most businesses save about 20% on their current mobile costs over the life of a contract with Indigo, because out-of-bundle charges are blocked on every line and our mobile team reviews your account throughout the contract. Send us a recent bill and we'll show you your likely saving within 2 working days. Get a free mobile bill review →
